Dr Michael Hay

Dr Michael Hay completed his medical training (with Honours) at Monash University in 2016. He went on to complete his specialist cardiology training at Monash Health, University Hospital Geelong and Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2023. Michael then completed a cardiac imaging fellowship at the Victorian Heart Hospital, subspecialising in multimodality imaging including advanced transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, general and structural transoesophageal echocardiography and cardiac CT. He subsequently completed an additional fellowship in cardiac MRI (completed Jan 2026).

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and very bossy daughters. He also follows most sports, in particular supporting the Tigers in AFL and the Cowboys in the NRL.

Michael looks forward to helping progress the cardiology care provided to Geelong and surrounding areas.
